Ozan Oganer’s Carrying on Back with Theme “Balance” | An Izmir-based artist, Ozan Oganer, focuses on the “balance” theme in his sculpture named “Carrying on Back”, consisting of two figures, which is created with lace technique, by which the artist is distinguished. The sculpture created in 2021, in which a female figure rises on the shoulders of a man, contains a reminder of social customs based on today's relationships. Putting an emphasis on the absolute balance between men and women, and the value of women in society and in relationships, artist Ozan Oganer draws attention to the importance of women in our society, on the one hand, and the fact that the gender equality is an important balancing factor, on the other hand.
